Disclosures
Transparency Is a Core Value
We believe you deserve to know exactly how we operate. These disclosures cover our use of AI, fees, trust accounts, insurance, and more.
AI-Enhanced Legal Services
JD Woods Law PLC uses artificial intelligence tools to assist with legal research, initial document drafting, and analysis. These tools enhance the efficiency and quality of our work product.
All AI-generated output is reviewed, edited, and approved by Jonathan D. Woods, Esq., a licensed member of The Florida Bar (#0145017), before delivery to any client. No document leaves our firm without attorney review and professional judgment applied.
Our use of AI tools complies with Florida Ethics Opinion 24-1, which governs the ethical use of artificial intelligence in the practice of law. We maintain appropriate oversight, confidentiality protections, and professional responsibility standards in all AI-assisted work.
Fee Structure
All standard legal services offered by JD Woods Law PLC are provided on a flat-fee basis. Our fees are published on our pricing page for full transparency. You will always know the cost before engaging our services.
Capped hourly billing is available upon request for matters requiring predictable blocks of attorney time, such as ongoing consultations, single-issue negotiations, or follow-up correspondence. All hourly engagements include a fee cap agreed upon in advance.
Matters requiring specialized litigation, regulatory, or trial expertise are referred to Florida Board Certified attorneys through our referral network at no referral cost to the client or fee paid to our firm.
A complete schedule of our flat-fee services is available on our pricing page.
View Our PricingClient Trust Account
All client payments are held in our Interest on Lawyers' Trust Account (IOLTA) pursuant to Florida Bar Rule 5-1.1. Client funds are maintained separately from firm operating funds at all times.
Funds are not considered earned by JD Woods Law PLC until the work product has been delivered to the client. This ensures you receive the services you paid for before any funds are considered earned.
Professional Liability Insurance
JD Woods Law PLC does not carry professional liability (malpractice) insurance. The State of Florida does not require attorneys to maintain malpractice insurance.
This disclosure is made pursuant to Florida's requirement that attorneys who do not carry professional liability insurance inform their clients of that fact.
